Nelli and Victor attempt to solve the next clue in the Griffith curse mystery while confronting new developments in the politics of the undead.
Plot Synopsis[]
Introduction[]
Each episode of season 2's epilogues begin with a pre-recorded scene, in which X relays a vision to the Valley Coterie (Annabelle, Jasper, Nelli, and Victor). According to the Storyteller's aside after the introduction and credits play, the vision will make sense once all season 2 epilogues are watched.
In this vision, Annabelle rode through the streets of Los Angeles on a black stallion, accompanied by a large green wolf with a torch in its mouth—potentially dangerous, according to X. Then, Annabelle faced the ocean in the night, the tide coming in and rising quickly. When Annabelle looked up to the moon, the moon 'looked' back to her and 'said no'. The moon began to quickly rotate in the sky, one side saying 'yes' and the other saying 'no' repeatedly.
The vision shifted, so then it showed the sky during the daytime. Four birds circled in the sky, which might have been birds of prey (according to X). Below them was a section of a river containing fast-flowing rapids, and the birds chased a "pretty girl with red hair," trying to prevent her from drowning in the river—though they could not save her.
Then was shown Eva, alone and holding a paper Valentine's Day heart. Eva ripped it in half, the action accompanied by the sound of glass shattering. While she held each of the halves in both hands, her hands began burning and Eva began crying tears of blood. Behind her stood two figures ("They were like, gargoyles, or statues, or guards," according to X), connected to one another by something that could be interpreted as red thread or string. X postulates that "something might be wrong with Eva." The vision went dark.
X relays the fact that he was "walking in that darkness" before he was interrupted by a flash of light. There stood Victor near a tall white candle, wearing a dented crown with a bullet hole in it. In his hands Victor held a blue heart made of crystal, and when he held it up to the light of the candle, red beams of light shot from the heart.
X then finishes speaking about the vision and asks the Valley Coterie how their week has been, prompting confusion at the abrupt change in topic.
Part One[]
Nelli and Victor are in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery at the Griffith J. Griffith Memorial. They encounter the ghost Patrinella Griffith. They also meet with Gary Golden.
Endcap[]
The endcap is an in-universe exploration of the Paradox Interactive ARG Tender. While nothing plot-relevant is revealed (nor are known characters present), it is noted that Griffith College is known for having the highest occurrence of rats per capita.
